O estado de Santa Catarina está entre os mais procurados pelos turistas brasileiros em 2021. Foi o que apontou a Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios (PNAD) Turismo, realizada pelo Ministério do Turismo e o IBGE. Segundo o levantamento, 5,2% das viagens feitas no país tiveram como destino as cidades catarinenses. O estado também aparece entre os principais locais onde houve maior gasto em viagens com pernoites, totalizando R$ 864 milhões arrecadados no período.
